Long day (part 2)

After hiking Mount Walker in the morning, Kiwi had me chauffeur her down to Hoodsport. The idea was to attempt Mount Ellinor, but the wonderful lady, Penny, at the National Forest station told us it was still snowed in for cars. With that bit of info and the day still sunny, it was decided to hike the Dry Creek Trail on the south side of Lake Cushman. We went along seeing some nice views of Lake Cushman. The trail took us away ffrom the lake and into the interior a little. Was able to see a nice feeder stream and enjoyed a lunch at a section of cascades that provided great, relaxing background ambience.
